Ministries at Trinity Church

Altar Guild

The Altar Guild is responsible for preparing our church for worship on Sundays and other occasions. They set out the vessels and linens used for worship, care for the silver and vestments, and make sure the church is decorated for special seasons like Christmas and Easter.

If you would like to be a part of the Altar Guild, call the church office (405-282-0982).

Daughters of the King

The Order of the Daughters of the King® (DOK) is a spiritual sisterhood of women dedicated to a life of Prayer, Service and Evangelism. They have made a commitment to Jesus as our Savior, and follow Him as Lord of their lives. They are an Order for women in the Anglican, Episcopal, Lutheran (ELCA) and Roman Catholic churches.

If you would like to be a part of the Daughters of the King at Trinity Church, call the church office (405-282-0982).

Godly Play

Godly Play is our special Christian Formation program for our young children. We offer this to our children every Sunday morning at 10 AM from September through May in our special Godly Play classroom.

Godly Play is based upon the recognition that children have an innate sense of the presence of God. All they lack is the appropriate language to help them identify and express it so it can be explored and strengthened. The Godly Play approach teaches classical Christian language in a way that enhances the child’s authentic experience of God so it can contribute to the creative life of the child and the world.

If you would like to be a part of helping teach Godly Play, call the church office (405-282-0982).

Our organist/choir director and our choir offer music every Sunday to enrich our worship. Our musical style ranges from classical to contemporary. We have bluegrass guitar and fiddle from time to time, and our worship at Christmas, Easter and other times is enriched with trumpet, violin, and flute.

If you would like to participate in our music program, call the church office (405-282-0982).

Lay persons read the lessons from the Bible and lead the prayers of the congregation for the Church and world at every Sunday service. If you would like to be a reader, call the church office (405-282-0982).

Our ushers greet church members and visitors alike, receive the people’s money offering at the services, and present the bread and wine at the altar for the Holy Eucharist. If you would like to be an usher, call the church office (405-282-0982).
